Diets, exercise plans, and bubble baths never felt right or sustainable for me. I’d start with the best intentions only to stop again, feeling like something was “wrong” with me.
It wasn’t until I hit a darker period in my life—grappling with depression, anxiety, and a loss of identity—that everything shifted. As I leaned into my intuition and pursued my certification as a Healing Touch Practitioner, I started paying attention to what truly felt good, practices that genuinely refreshed and honored me. I discovered self-care isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s deeply personal, and it evolves. This is how I identified and developed the concept of Self-Care Languages.
